Friday the 31st marked the conclusion of Protiviti’s “Global Steps Challenge,” the first event in the Protiviti Games, a four-month global, gamified event designed to connect our people through elements of our unique culture.
Over the past 4 weeks, over 2200 Protiviti employees around the world signed up to walk and compete. Although competing as individuals, each step helped push their local office up the Protiviti Games Leaderboard. The goals were simple: 8,000 steps/day and 208,000 steps throughout the challenge, but some team members went above and beyond. The Challenge Leaderboard featured 13 team members that have individually taken over one million steps, and our #1 spot walked 2.8+ MILLION STEPS in 25 days! In fact, there were 3 team members that individually completed over 2 million steps. An incredible feat! Or better yet, incredible feet!
Not only did the Global Steps Challenge allow for friendly competition, but it was also a great way to connect with fellow Protiviti colleagues around the globe. Throughout the Challenge, pictures were shared of team members walking in Amsterdam, Minneapolis, Peru, Cincinnati, Chicago, London, Idaho, and many more!
A highlight for many over the past few weeks was the ‘Challenge Another Office’ mini-challenge, which was a collective commitment to health and comradery, while also earning well-deserved bragging rights.
The Chicago office team took the Challenge a step further and entered the Chase Corporate Challenge simultaneously. Protiviti showed up ready to compete with 23 determined team members! Protiviti placed #21 out of 418 companies who competed and #4 out of all consulting firms in Chicago.
So, what’s next? Over the next three months, offices will continue to compete in various challenges to support well-being, strengthen our sense of connection and belonging, take advantage of the value of a global network, and demonstrate ways we care for our communities, our clients, and our people.
