October 10 is World Mental Health Day – a globally recognized day used to rally efforts in support of mental health as we raise awareness of mental health issues around the world. As this year’s theme reminds us, “mental health is a universal human right.”
The World Health Organization first recognized World Mental Health Day in 1992, and in the 31 years since, have been instrumental in raising awareness, resources, and support for our global population and the mental health struggles many are familiar with.
Walking the Walk
Protiviti is no stranger to tackling this issue, either. Our mission states: We care. We collaborate. We deliver. So caring about our people and their well-being is paramount to who we are and how we do business.
Our benefits, teams, and programs woven throughout the way we do work here provide ample opportunities to help our employees focus on their physical, financial, emotional, community, and career well-being. From healthcare concierge to debt management, Employee Network Groups to advisor programs, and so much more, we work hard to provide assistance for our employees in their lives, wherever they may need it. We often say we want our teammates to bring their full selves to work, so with that request, we’re ready to support that full life in whatever ways we can.
One major highlight is Protiviti’s Employee Assistance Program – a confidential resource providing help for all employees and their dependents. This assistance comes in many forms, including short-term professional counseling, referral services for child and elder care, support for legal and financial matters, educational resources, and more.
You can learn more about these offerings and more on the Your Well-Being page of Protiviti’s website.
