Can you believe we’re already halfway through our 2022 internship? It seems like just yesterday we were all together in Austin, Texas at Liftoff with Protiviti and The Intern Challenge.
Between client meetings, solution leader spotlights, design thinking learning labs, and meeting with their team of advisors, our interns have hit the ground running and are fully #LivingProtiviti. Let’s take a look at what these last few weeks have held for our interns!
Design Thinking Learning Lab
As a part of our efforts to establish an innovative mindset across the business, our interns had a chance to participate in our Design Thinking Learning Lab – a fully immersive, one-day, virtual classroom experience where participants learn about the basics of design thinking in a hands-on manner. Through group sessions and team breakout rooms, our interns had the opportunity to practice various design thinking methods together!
Technology Consulting intern Nicole shares her experience: “The Design Thinking Learning Lab was an incredible way to connect with others and start thinking differently about how we make decisions professionally and even personally. Through the lab, we were introduced to a multitude of tools and techniques that we can use. Using the tools introduced, has helped me think and create in ways that are more inclusive and innovative during my internship this summer!”
Meet Your Solution Lead Series
With the importance of exposure in mind, as well as our open-door policy to access leadership, interns were invited to meetings with their solution leader to gain insights on the future of that particular business area and participate in Q&A. Each solution lead discussed their career journey, life at Protiviti, advice for the interns, and so much more!

Executive Advisor Week
All Protiviti employees have a series of advisors to help you throughout your career here – a peer advisor, a career advisor, and an executive advisor.
Graduate Recruiting Director, Casey Jo Chapman, shares the importance of having these advisors by your side. “We find it valuable to our interns to have Executive Advisors for a few reasons – one being that we want to help our interns to have a realistic career preview of what a full-time career at Protiviti could entail, as each full-time employee at Protiviti has an Executive Advisor who is coaching and driving one’s career at the top. Additionally, the Executive Advisor helps to tie the entire experience together for their assigned interns by talking about our organization as a whole and how an intern assignment on one client has broader impact to the organization. Plus, we’ve heard from Executive Advisors that they gain energy and excitement each summer for the interns they are working with!”

Up Next: Intern Week of Service
One of the next steps on the interns’ Protiviti journey is a series of local events that focus on our Commitment to our Communities through our Intern Week of Service. This commitment goes beyond our clients and extends into the places in which our people live and work. Around the world, Protiviti employees are making strides in bettering their communities through a wide variety of philanthropy projects. In the spirit of giving our interns the full Protiviti experience, we spend a whole week of the internship focusing on giving back in offices across the country!
