The stars continue to rise among Protiviti’s outstanding young consultants.

Consulting magazine has announced its list of Rising Stars of the Profession, and four Protiviti directors have been singled out as “Rising Stars” or “Ones to Watch” on the list. According to Consulting magazine, the list “showcases the best young talent [the consulting] profession has to offer.” Honorees are recognized for their “exemplary demonstration of client service actions, relationship practices, innovation, and leadership in serving both their clients and their firms.”

Protiviti Directors Kristen and Mark are among the 38 “Rising Stars.” Kristen is recognized in the Client Service category, and Mark is recognized in the Manufacturing Industry category.

Meet the Rising Stars

Kristen, a Director with Protiviti’s Business Performance Improvement practice in New York, provides a wide range of audit and financial advisory consulting service to international companies. She says the opportunity to work in London “helped me break through many barriers both personally and professionally, as I had to go out of my comfort zone on many levels.” Her advice to new consultants? “Be open-minded and willing. Not all projects or clients will be equally exciting, but with a good attitude you can make anything fun and rewarding.”

Mark is also a Director with the Business Performance Improvement practice and is the firm’s manufacturing and distribution industry lead for the St. Louis office. He specializes in helping manufacturing companies navigate regulatory, infrastructure, and reporting challenges, including companies that are preparing to go public. He says these types of engagement are multi-faceted and require coordination among multiple stakeholders. “They require a tremendous amount of team effort, but the result in helping a company achieve a major milestone is very rewarding,” Mark says. And to newer consultants in the field, Mark’s advice is to look at every engagement as an opportunity. “Making the most of those opportunities will set you apart later in your career.”

“Kristen’s exceptional project management and relationship-building skills have contributed significantly to the success of several important client engagements. Mark is recognized by his colleagues as an expert on public company readiness who can guide clients through extremely complex situations,” said Joseph Tarantino, Protiviti President and CEO. “All of our 2022 honorees exemplify Protiviti’s highest standards of integrity, expertise, and client service. I congratulate them on this well-deserved recognition and look forward to their continuing success.”
