At Protiviti, we are focused on creating an environment where everyone feels respected and valued. As part of this effort, Protiviti created an Employee Network Group (ENG) called iGRoWW. iGRoWW, which stands for the initiative for Growth and Retention of Women in the Workforce, aims to increase female representation and retention, as well as develop a support system for women in the workplace.

Inclusive and open to all employees, iGRoWW sponsors company-wide events and open discussions around gender diversity and equality. iGRoWW has also helped to create a community of people who will advocate for each other and their careers, and promotes a safe environment to discuss the challenges that women experience in the workplace. Throughout each year, local offices host a multitude of events that bring awareness to the initiative, such as recognizing International Women’s Day, Women’s History Month, and Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and participating in community activities that support women. In one example from the summer of 2019, Protiviti invited Fairygodboss CEO, Romy Newman, to our Metro D.C. office to share her take on how women can advance their careers while promoting gender equality. This event opened our eyes to the power women have to shape their own professional path and the resources that are available on the Fairygodboss platform to further engage in the conversation!

iGRoWW has also influenced the creation of GET IT, our initiative to achieve Gender Equality in Technology and IT. GET IT specifically focuses on bringing the values and goals of iGRoWW to technologists across Protiviti, as the female ratio of workers in the tech industry remains lower than that of the broader workforce.
