Students of America, I’m coming to you live from the center of the universe, also known as the Beta Alpha Psi Midwest Regional Conference in downtown Chicago. Protiviti is proud to support BAP (or Beta, to some) as a member of the international advisory forum. Our position on the forum enables me to attend this conference and interact with my favorite kind of student: the student who is happy with the major that he or she has chosen to study.
Hard to believe, but I was once a student choosing my major, struggling with the many options available, all of which seemed perfectly viable. Back then, my dad, in all his wisdom, advised me to study what I love. To this day, I blame and celebrate him for that advice, as it is what convinced me to major in English (as a reader of this blog, you can blame him in your own way also).
As a candidate, your professional development starts with confidence in the major that you have selected and an active interest in the career paths that open up to you as a result. As a recruiter, I am never happier than when I meet a candidate who is truly fascinated with his or her chosen field. Through professional organizations like BAP, you can become part of a community that shares that passion for its line of work. Even as an English major in an accounting world, I can appreciate that sentiment today, and I encourage all of you to go out and find it.

Hello everyone! I have been following Protiviti's blog and twitter pages, and was wondering when do you typically start recruiting new graduates, if for example the expected graduation date being sometime December?
I actually live right across Protiviti's Orlando branch and decided that I would definitely like to work for Protiviti after meeting some of the consultants at the office and again at the Corporate 5k. Everyone were intelligent and their passion for work evident, and it was very clear that it would be a place where my skills would fit and be put to best use.
I am posting my question here, in case this is a much more convenient way to interact. Have a good day!
