With 2024 just days away, it’s the most wonderful time of the year to reflect on 2023!

It was quite a year for the firm. With more opportunities to support our communities and each other, collaborate with colleagues, clients, and candidates at events or through #HowWeHybrid, and deliver to our clients in an unprecedented global business environment, we stayed focused on our vision to be recognized as the most trusted global consulting firm. We were honored with more than 40 accolades celebrating who we are, the work we do, and the culture we foster – including the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, Fast Company Best Workplaces for Innovators, and Fortune Best Workplaces for Consulting & Professional Services, and PEOPLE Companies That Care. We celebrated our 21st anniversary and collectively pivoted toward the future, backed with incredible momentum and supporting our mission – We Care. We Collaborate. We Deliver.

We Care

At Protiviti, we believe caring is what truly sets us apart from other companies. While there are many examples of how we cared in the way we worked together and with our clients this year, supporting our communities through iCare programs continued to embody who we are as a firm. Protiviti was again named to PEOPLE Companies That Care, an annual list highlighting organizations that go beyond the bottom line by serving their communities using their time and talents while showing respect and concern for their employees and the environment.

Our Dallas office supported iCare at the Dallas CitySquare Food Bank this year.

One program that contributed to Protiviti’s spot on the list was our i on Hunger company-wide initiative focused on providing food to those in need around the world. This year, we cumulatively surpassed delivering a total of over 15 MILLION meals (15,212,905 to be exact) over the past nine years, with 21 participating countries, 247 partners, 377 clients, and 991 events, respectively.

Our 2023 summer interns provided two tons of food (the equivalent to 3,200 meals!) to the San Antonio Food Bank during the Intern Challenge.

We Collaborate
From nurturing partnerships through various national and local networking and recruiting events, like the Black is Tech Conference, Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA) Convention, National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) Conference, Women in Cyber (WiCys), and Disability IN Conference, to connecting with our teams through Milestone Learning and Leadership Development programs, to building relationships both in-office and onsite with clients, our people collaborated in countless ways this year.

“Being able to collaborate through our partnerships allows us to authentically engage with people within these communities,” says Champaigne Powell, Graduate Senior Recruiter at Protiviti and a champion to many of our DEI partnership initiatives. “This not only includes finding top talent through conferences but also being able to contribute to the aspirations and goals of our partners through the support we are able to provide. Whether that is through hosting sessions on relevant topics or serving at the local level, this helps all of us learn and grow together as true partners.”

With a combination of engaging client simulation scenarios, real-world stories shared by a diverse team of facilitators from across the firm, and high-impact keynote presentations from executive team members, attendees of our Milestone Learning programs are equipped with the knowledge and practical hands-on experience to confidently apply consulting skills relevant to their role. Monica Sabo, an Experienced Hire Senior Recruiter at Protiviti, had the opportunity to attend one of these Milestone Learning programs, The Manager Challenge School (TMC), as a facilitator.

“Facilitating The Manager Challenge was a memorable experience and provided an amazing opportunity to collaborate and learn from people across all levels and solutions. Throughout the week, everyone worked together to deliver a successful program, whether through administrative tasks, words of encouragement, or jumping in to share our own experiences in projects and client relationships to drive training forward.”

We Deliver
As many companies did this year, Protiviti navigated through a challenging global business environment. Our colleagues worked diligently to support our clients, and as a result, we won some incredible client opportunities, began working with a breadth of new clients, and won new work that provided the chance to innovate and deliver new ideas and approaches.

We know how hard our people strive to care for our clients, and Protiviti strives to take care of our people.  Our wide range of benefits, including but not limited to a flexible work model, generous paid parental leave, childcare and educational benefits, a sabbatical program, and a sense of belonging through our employee network groups, allow us to support employees in all stages of life. In fact, the firm was recently recognized as a 2023 Best Workplace for Parents by Great Place To Work, as well as honored by the 2023 Seramount Global Inclusion and US Inclusion indexes and the 2023 Seramount Top 75 Companies for Executive Women.

Laura Price, who recently earned an end-of-year promotion to Managing Director, shared her experience and career progression working at Protiviti.

“At Protiviti, we drive our own career trajectory and growth progression,” says Laura. “It’s critical to challenge ourselves in our careers and invest in the 4 “Ps” – people, proactiveness, passion, and perseverance. We encourage proactiveness with innovation and collaboration and we challenge the status quo. We expect passion and perseverance in the delivery of our services and a solid quality work product. I strongly believe these critical delivery behaviors have driven my own success story and career growth at Protiviti and will continue to motivate me with our people and clients.”

We want to congratulate Laura and all our other colleagues who earned a mid-year or end-of-year promotion this year! We celebrate the work you do, the growth you’ve had, and your dedication to delivering excellence.

Cheers to the New Year – we look forward to continuing our mission in 2024!
