At Protiviti, everyone has the potential to be a champion, and over the last month we have spotlighted several such champions from around the globe. These individuals help make Protiviti a truly great place to work. For our final post in the #ProtivitiChampions series, we’d like to spotlight Jose. Jose is an Associate Director and a clear example of what a champion truly looks like.
Protiviti Champions Spotlight: Jose

- Years at Protiviti – “11 years as of January 6th”
- Path to Protiviti – “While I never interned with Protiviti, I did join as an entry-level Consultant right after I graduated with my masters from The University of Florida”
- Current Solution and/or Industry focus – “IT Audit – I service a variety of different industries including healthcare, real estate, hospitality, government, not-for-profit, and financial services”
- What is your role as a champion? – “I’m the Orlando Office Champion for the Parents’ Network”
- Why is that role important to you? Protiviti? – “Becoming a parent was one of the most challenging, yet rewarding events of my life. Coupling parenting with my career at Protiviti often left me very overwhelmed initially. I often wondered how my colleagues with kids actually pulled it all off. Now that I have two children (ages 4 and 2), I hope to promote this network to provide answers, advice, and support to help reduce some of the normal fears and anxiety that comes with starting a family, while also being a working professional.”
- What is one meaningful moment you have experienced as a champion? – “Sitting around our office conference room table having lunch with an expectant mother who just confessed to having an emotional breakdown the day before. I observed various colleagues (who were themselves parents) offer advice, uplifting words of encouragement, and support for this co-worker. In my mind, it solidified the value of the Parents’ Network.”
- What is one thing you hope to accomplish in your role as a champion? – “Helping our people conclude that being a parent and a hardworking professional does not have to be mutually exclusive.”
