Fasten your seatbelts — we’re getting ready for takeoff! At Protiviti, excitement is in the air as we welcome our 2026 intern class. Our newest interns are just beginning their Protiviti journey, bringing fresh perspectives, curiosity, and energy as they begin an important chapter in their careers.
Across both our May and June intern classes, more than 240 interns join us from various locations across North America. They represent a wide range of academic backgrounds, experiences, and interests, but they all share something in common: a readiness to learn, grow, and contribute. Throughout the summer, interns will work alongside Protiviti professionals, support impactful client engagements, and gain hands-on experience that helps turn classroom learning into real‑world application.
Preparing for Departure: Liftoff with Protiviti
Before interns step into project work, they’ll kick off their experience with Liftoff with Protiviti, our immersive onboarding program designed to get everyone ready for departure. During Liftoff, interns learn what makes Protiviti unique — from our culture and values to how we collaborate to solve complex business challenges.
Through virtual and in-person interactive sessions, our interns connect with leaders and teammates from across the firm, build early relationships with fellow interns, and start developing the professional skills needed to confidently navigate their new role. Liftoff with Protiviti ensures everyone is informed, excited and ready for what’s ahead.
Gaining Altitude: The Intern Challenge
Following Liftoff, interns participate in The Intern Challenge (also known as TIC), hosted in Austin, Texas. TIC is an engaging, five-day event where team‑based learning gets put into action. During this program, interns work together in small groups to tackle real‑world scenarios, similar to what they’ll encounter on project engagements. They practice problem solving, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking — all while learning how consultants approach complex business issues.
The Intern Challenge also gives interns early exposure to presenting ideas, receiving feedback, and working under real‑world timelines. It provides an opportunity to build confidence and strengthen connections with peers and Protiviti professionals before transitioning fully into engagement work.
Cruising at Altitude: The Internship Experience
With onboarding complete, interns officially begin cruising at altitude as they head back to their local markets and join engagement teams taking on real responsibilities. Throughout the summer, interns contribute to client work, collaborate with teammates, and continue developing technical and professional skills across a variety of industries and capabilities.
Interns are supported every step of the way through Protiviti’s structured advisor program. This support system ensures interns always have a trusted crew to turn to — whether they’re navigating new challenges, exploring career paths, or celebrating milestones along the way all while ensuring our interns connected with the goals they set for themselves at the beginning of our program. In addition to client work, interns also participate in networking opportunities and community engagement events that bring Protiviti’s culture to life.
