International Women’s Day celebrates our world’s progress and historic movements for women. The programming theme for International Women’s Day this year is #GiveToGain. This theme reflects the power of reciprocity and collective support. When individuals, organizations, and communities give generously, they expand opportunity and access. Giving helps everyone rise.
Throughout the month of March, Protiviti’s Employee Network Groups (ENGs), iGROWW (Growth and Retention of Women in the Workforce) and GET IT (Gender Equality in Technology and IT), will celebrate through events that foster genuine relationships, promote inclusion, and challenge us to embrace the spirit of giving—because when we invest in others, we gain opportunities for personal and professional success.
We took a moment to connect with our National iGROWW Education Chair, Kasey Snyder, who shares how she got involved in iGROWW to make an impact and emphasize the power of reciprocity and support.
“Since joining Protiviti and iGROWW in 2020 as a Senior Consultant in the Minneapolis office, my journey to Senior Manager in the Chicago office has been both rewarding and transformative. I’ve built a strong network by engaging in office opportunities through attending training programs, leading local office interest groups with a focus on sports and participating in iGROWW. This network has created a foundation of support that I will carry for a lifetime. Mentors here have not only guided my career but helped shaped who I am as a person.
Serving as the iGROWW Education Chair for the past two years has been an incredible opportunity to help organize International Women’s Day and Women’s Equality Day events. Planning these events has opened doors to learning and connection. I’ve met so many amazing colleagues, each with a unique and impactful story. It’s inspiring to see how lessons from these conversations seamlessly influence both my client work and my leadership journey.
Business development and relationship building can feel daunting at any level, but I’ve learned that giving, whether it’s time for a small coffee chat, or sharing your story in front of an audience, creates opportunities for growth. Each small step matters. When we give, we gain confidence, connections, and community. iGROWW has been a gift, teaching me the power of listening, learning, and speaking up. Local iGROWW & GET IT Chapter Events
iGROWW and GET IT have ignited a call to action, encouraging local office chapters to embrace the power of in-person events to observe International Women’s Day. This focus allows members to expand networks, fostering community and celebration tailored to their local markets. This will create meaningful moments that resonate with the spirit of unity and the support of our people globally. Local offices will also host in-person watch parties for the International Women’s Day Signature Panel event.
