During the month of February, under the theme Blueprints for Brilliance, our Black Employee Inclusion Network Group (BEING) is curating experiences and events that will create awareness by promoting allyship, inclusivity, and belonging. Read on to learn more!

BEING is thrilled to kick off Black Heritage Month with the launch of a mini vlog series. This initiative honors influential individuals who have blended creative talents in media, sports, music, and more with exceptional business acumen. Through engaging mini vlogs, we celebrate their innovation, lasting legacies, and the inspiration they provide for future generations.

Blueprints for Brilliance: A Fireside Chat

We’re hosting an inspiring conversation with a global authority on brilliance, resilience, and well-being. Sponsored by Protiviti’s BEING and Robert Half’s Black Employee Network (BEN), this event will highlight how intentional planning, skill development, and vision can turn aspirations into progressive success.

Harmonizing Legacy: The Blueprints of Musical Innovation

BEING is launching this year’s Quarterly Discussion Series during BHM, providing a space to build community and connections. This event will highlight how visionary musicians and production studios have crafted blueprints for brilliance, using innovation and creativity to inspire future generations and shape the music industry

Local BEING Chapter Events

BEING has ignited a call to action, encouraging local office BEING chapters to embrace the power of in-person events to observe BHM. This initiative offers BEING members a chance to forge connections, fostering a sense of community and celebration tailored to their unique geographical culture. This initiative will create meaningful moments that resonate with the spirit of unity and shared identity within the BEING community.

Leadership Spotlight

The success of these activities is largely attributed to our exceptional leaders. We are proud to highlight Bethany Caldwell, Manager in our Internal Audit & Financial Advisory Solution, who is at the forefront of leading BEING’s Education Pillar.

Bethany believes that knowledge is foundational to lasting change. She views education as a way to transform awareness into action, to ensure learning opportunities are accessible, actionable, and relatable for all Protiviti employees. For Bethanny, investing in education means building stronger leaders and better results for the firm and its clients.

Her involvement in BEING and broader Inclusion initiatives, including holding a rotational role with the Inclusion Team at Protiviti, has been pivotal to her growth, allowing her to connect with colleagues across levels and solutions. Bethany shared that these experiences have helped her learn more about the parts or us that we bring to work, while fostering a community where our voices are heard and valued.

Reflecting on this year’s Black History Month theme, Blueprints for Brilliance, Bethany believes that brilliance is not something that happens by accident, but is built, nurtured, and sustained through access to opportunities, meaningful connections, and information. She honors the innovative spirit of Black professionals who have often had to create their own blueprints when none existed and stresses the importance of leaving behind clearer pathways for those who are coming after us, ensuring future generations can build upon the progress made.
