As families transition from summer break to the rhythm of the school year, Protiviti’s Parents Network continues to support and celebrate the vital role parents play both at home and at work. The back-to-school season is a time of renewed routines, learning, and growth—values that align closely with the spirit of Protiviti’s Bring Your Child to Work Day (BYCTWD). This initiative not only strengthens family bonds but also gives children a glimpse into their parents’ professional lives, fostering curiosity and connection.
Celebrating Global Day of Parents with Bring Your Child to Work Day
In celebration of Global Day of Parents, Protiviti proudly highlights its annual Bring Your Child to Work Day (BYCTWD).
Recognized annually on the fourth Thursday of April, with events continuing throughout the year, this flagship initiative engages global offices in creating memorable experiences for families. This year, early celebrations in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Miami showcased a variety of activities designed to help children explore their parents’ workplaces and strengthen family bonds.
These events, filled with educational fun, reflect Protiviti’s commitment to family engagement and community building.

Chicago: A Journey Around the World
The Chicago office welcomed more than 90 attendees to a culturally themed event. Children received passports and participated in “The Kid Challenge,” which included design thinking exercises, crafts, a scavenger hunt, and coding a Minecraft game. The day concluded with a live reptile show. Additionally, children created artwork and wrote letters for residents of CJE Senior Living, contributing to the local community.

Ft. Lauderdale/Miami: The Great Green Challenge
Miami’s event focused on Earth Day-inspired activities that encouraged curiosity, teamwork, and environmental awareness. Highlights included a STEM-based workshop led by a Mad Scientist and an environmental session co-hosted by Heal the Planet and Protiviti’s Green Committee. Activities were tailored to various age groups, fostering an inclusive and engaging environment.
Minneapolis: Repurposing Fun and Learning
Minneapolis hosted a family-friendly event featuring a reading of The ABCs of Consulting, followed by a photo session where children received custom badges. Activities included an iSustain planting station, an office scavenger hunt, a homemade playdough station, coloring and puzzles, a tour of the office, and a STEM bridge-building challenge using straws and tape.
As we embrace the new school year, Protiviti remains committed to supporting our working parents and nurturing the next generation of curious minds. Through initiatives like Bring Your Child to Work Day, we continue to build a culture where family, learning, and connection thrive, both at home and in the workplace.
