Over the past several weeks, Protiviti had the pleasure of welcoming more than 350 interns from across the country as part of our Summer 2025 internship program. With two cohorts launching in May and June, this year’s onboarding experience highlighted Liftoff with Protiviti and The Intern Challenge. As both sessions come to a close, we’re reflecting on what made this year’s Intern Challenge meaningful, and how it set the stage for a summer of growth, learning and connection.
The interns began their journey via Liftoff with Protiviti, a mix of remote onboarding sessions and local office engagement before traveling to Austin for the Intern Challenge. While in Austin, each cohort spent five immersive days participating in a thoughtfully structured experience that helped them get to know Protiviti, each other, and the kind of work we do with our clients. Through hands-on team simulations, business scenarios, and skill-building workshops, interns were able to collaborate across different solution groups, learn from facilitators and leaders, and start developing the confidence and toolkit to succeed in their roles this summer.
Beyond the structured sessions, the Intern Challenge provided valuable opportunities for interns to build community. Whether during meals, evening activities, or small group discussions, interns had space to connect more informally, share experiences, and support one another as they navigated their first days at Protiviti. Each cohort brought their own unique energy to the experience, and we’re grateful for the curiosity, professionalism, and positivity they brought with them to Austin. These early connections often go on to form the foundation of long-lasting friendships and future professional networks—and it’s always exciting to witness those relationships begin.
Now that both cohorts have returned to their local offices, we’re excited to see how they’ll continue building on the momentum of their first weeks. The summer ahead will offer them the chance to contribute to real client work, explore areas of interest, and receive meaningful coaching and feedback from their teams.
