We are excited to announce that our very own, Tony Abel, has been named as a “2017 Provider Pro to Know” by Supply and Demand Chain Executive magazine. This award recognizes supply chain executives who are leading initiatives to help prepare their companies’ supply chains for the challenges of today, and service providers and consultants who help their clients prepare to meet these challenges.
Tony is a Managing Director in our Supply Chain Solution. He sits in our Minneapolis office and has been a part of our team for just over 2 years. Tony served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years before attending and graduating Magna Cum Laude from St. Cloud University with a degree in Business and Computer Information Systems. He has built an entrepreneurial career spanning more than 20 years before joining Protiviti.
As part of the Protiviti team, Tony initiated and acts as the executive sponsor for the Military Outreach committee in our Minneapolis office and is a member of our Veterans Employee Networking Group. He helps lead recruiting and has overall responsibility for marketing and business development activities for the Supply Chain Solutions practice. He said “I have a strong desire to continue to build on a solid foundation and to expand and grow the supply chain practice, leveraging the firms extensive relationships with top organizations.”
Throughout his career providing supply chain solutions to the world’s leading organizations, Tony has led and managed transformational projects in many functional areas, including strategic sourcing, compliance management, organizational design, outsourcing, eProcurement, inventory optimization, forecasting and planning, warehouse operations and working capital optimization. Outside of work, Tony said his 3 kids dictate most of his free time, but that he and his wife fully enjoy that. When he has a moment to himself he enjoys horse barrel racing, motocross, snowboarding, BMX racing, summer water sports at the lake, football and basketball.
