As summer draws to a close, we at Protiviti are proud to celebrate the remarkable contributions of our 2025 interns. On Friday, August 15, we will say farewell to our final cohort of talented, driven, and curious individuals who have left a lasting mark on our teams and our culture.

From day one, our interns embodied Protiviti’s core values—collaborating openly, embracing challenges, and striving for excellence. Alongside their project responsibilities, our interns engaged in a variety of enriching experiences, including the Intern Week of Service, Leadership Networking, and the Intern Innovation Challenge . Through the Tiv Talk Intern Series, they gained insights into our six business solutions, and explored our Employee Network Groups via ENG Connect. Beyond the learning, they built lasting connections at events like baseball games, office potlucks, pickleball tournaments, and boat cruises. Across offices, solutions, and segments, they’ve shown us that new perspectives bring fresh energy and innovation to everything we do.

What Our Interns Had to Say

Kaylie Heshmati – Seattle, Digital

“I really enjoyed the variety of projects I got to work on during my internship. Each one challenged me in a different way and helped me grow both creatively and professionally. I especially appreciated the opportunity to collaborate across teams and learn from others’ perspectives—it made the experience even more meaningful. The mentorship and advice I received throughout the internship were incredibly impactful and helped shape my goals moving forward!”

Elise Samas – Seattle, Technology Consulting, Security and Privacy

“The community and support from my local office was amazing! I was lucky to be staffed on a project with an incredible EM who really supported my growth. I also built relationships across solutions and segments that will hopefully last well beyond my internship. One of the most important things I learned was consistency in sticking to goals—earning certifications, scheduling coffee chats, and building confidence in meetings.”

Charlie Baumgarten – Dallas, TC – Business Platforms Transformation

“I loved the immense support Protiviti provided during my internship. I always felt welcome to ask questions, meet coworkers, and take initiative to learn and grow. The Intern Challenge was very special, as was the day-to-day support from my team. What I learned most was the value of curiosity. Staying curious enabled me to think creatively, embrace challenges, and take initiative in my learning.”

Elena Vierengel – Charlotte, Risk and Compliance – Analytics

“I enjoyed fostering relationships with individuals across the firm in various solutions and markets. Everyone I spoke with was kind, welcoming, and eager to answer my questions! The most important thing I learned was to advocate for myself—whether I had extra downtime, felt overwhelmed, or wanted to explore other opportunities at Protiviti.”

Jeremiah Bell – Houston, BPI-Finance

“What I enjoyed most about my internship was, without a doubt, the people—both my incredible team and the amazing intern group I came in with. I’d always heard that the best part of the company is the people, but I never truly understood it until now. The kindness, joy, knowledge, and meaningful relationships I’ve built will stay with me for a lifetime.”

Macarthy Mahoney – Phoenix, IAFA – Healthcare Process

“From my internship, I learned that fluency in business or consulting isn’t handed to you—you earn it by showing up, listening closely, and letting yourself be a little lost at first. Coming from a neuroscience background, I worried I’d feel behind. But each day, I absorbed conversations, stayed curious, and things started to click. This summer showed me that the intersection of science, data, and business is exactly where I’m meant to be.”

August Nennmann – Dallas, Legal Consulting – AI Governance

“I especially enjoyed meeting and working with exceptional people. I also gained exposure to the ever-changing atmosphere of AI, learning practical applications to pair with my legal experience!”

Jenny Zhang – Charlotte, R&C – Risk

“My favorite part of this internship was building relationships with Protiviti employees across the country. Everyone’s willingness to invest in my experience and share their career journeys has been a highlight of this summer.”
