At Protiviti, we don’t just talk about community service; it’s a part of who we are – so much so that it even flows into our summer internship program. We are incredibly proud of the fact that Protiviti employees globally are making real changes in their communities with a range of philanthropic initiatives. This is why an entire week of our 2024 internship was all about giving back to the places where we are fortunate to live and work.
Many of the volunteer events during the 2024 Intern Week of Service supported Protiviti’s i on Hunger initiative. This global food service mission is all about getting meals to those who need them most. With over 15 million meals already served through this initiative, we continue to show our commitment to help individuals in need and the organizations that serve them.
Bettering Our Communities Across the Country
During our Intern Week of Service, all 27 of our U.S. offices hosting Protiviti interns dove headfirst into a local service event of their choice. Here’s a quick peek at how our interns turned commitment and values into action in some of those cities!
Our Salt Lake City interns spent the day enjoying the beautiful scenery in Big Cottonwood Canyon while picking up trash with the Forever Project.
Down in Houston, our interns worked with Kids’ Meals’ to help end hunger among preschool-aged children. Over the course of just one afternoon, they prepared 4,140 meals to be delivered throughout the local community.
In Atlanta, our people packed more than 8,000 meals for Rise Against Hunger, with even more meals still to be counted afterward!
Interns were all smiles in Seattle while packing more than 3,000 pounds of food for those experiencing hunger in Western Washington through partnership with Food Lifeline.
In Philadelphia, our people packed 850 meals for Philabundance, Philadelphia’s largest hunger relief organization.
Our Kansas City office spent the afternoon packing groceries with Harvesters Food Bank to be delivered to food-insecure families.
In Miami, our interns worked with an organization called “Feeding South Florida” to pack meals for hungry families across South Florida.
Over in Austin, our interns packed 3,804 meals for Texans experiencing hunger through a project with the Central Texas Food Bank.
We all know breakfast is the most important meal of the day, which is why New York interns worked hard to pack more than 500 breakfast bags for the Ronald McDonald House of New York.
In Los Angeles, members of two Employee Network Groups – iSustain and Parents’ Network – joined the interns in beautifying efforts at Santa Monica beach with the Surfrider Foundation.
Our interns in Cleveland spent the day packing meals with the Cleveland Food Bank.
In Chicago, our interns worked with project Build-a-Bike to build 10 bicycles by hand for the Chicagoland YMCA!
Members of our Tampa office got to spend the day with the cutest canine companions while volunteering at the SPCA Tampa Bay.
Our team in Minneapolis packed an impressive 13,608 meals through partnership with Feed my Starving Children, a local non-profit dedicated to helping hungry children across the world.
There was a great turnout in Phoenix for a meal packing event with Feed My Starving Children. In one afternoon, our people packed an impressive 19,872 meals.
Our interns in Boston participated in a “Project in a Box” packing event where they put together care packages for animal shelters that will be distributed to charities across the country.
