Celebrating Father’s Day at Protiviti

This weekend, as Father’s Day approaches in the U.S., we take the opportunity to celebrate the fathers, bonus dads, and father figures who play an essential role in shaping our lives. Protiviti wishes all of you a Happy Father’s Day!

Our Employee Network Group for parents, the Parents’ Network, serves as a vibrant community and a supportive resource for working parents at Protiviti. This network fosters an environment where parents can celebrate achievements, share valuable experiences, navigate transitions, and overcome challenges together. In honor of this special day, we connected with some of our Protiviti fathers to gain insights into what being a parent means to them. Read on to discover their inspiring stories and perspectives!

“What does parenthood mean to you?”

Parenthood, to me, means embodying the “super dad” my daughter looks up to. It’s not always easy; I navigate the whirlwind of diaper changes and the constant chorus of “no,” “put that down,” and “how did you even get that?!?” Yet, at the end of each day, when I walk through the door and hear her joyful cry, “DA-DA IS HOME!!!”, my heart swells with an indescribable joy. Those moments remind me that not every day will be perfect, but in her eyes, I will always be her super dad. Every challenge I face is a steppingstone toward becoming the hero she believes I am, and for that, I wouldn’t trade a single moment. Kyle Thomas – Early Career Recruiter

To me, fatherhood begins with staying true to who I am and the moral compass that guides my life. I believe I must care for my own well-being so I can show up fully for my children—not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually. Fatherhood isn’t a title—it’s a daily commitment. It means being present, being engaged, and living as an example of integrity, strength, vulnerability, and love. David Faulkner – Executive Talent Acquisition Manager

Parenthood means serving as a role model, constantly learning, and being present for my family. My wife and I have two active boys (ages 12 and 9) and with each year that goes by, I learn more about being a parent and supporting them as they grow. When the boys were younger, I came across an article on parenting that resonated with me. The article stated that our children spend most of their early childhood with their parents and what they learn and how they develop as an adult is a direct reflection of what the parents do and say. As my boys grow, I consciously make an effort to be present and remain involved in their activities, whether it be school events, soccer games, tennis matches or Sunday school.

One of the biggest challenges for me as a young parent was balancing client commitments, my travel schedule, and parenting commitments. I quickly realized that planning and communication were key in effectively meeting expectations at home and work.

I’m fortunate to be a part of an organization that allows me to balance commitments as a parent and as a leader at Protiviti. Jay Gohil – Managing Director, Technology Consulting

For me, parenthood is a ‘journey’. It is filled with early morning drop-offs, mid-day adventures, and late-night living room dance sessions. I strive to be present for every laugh and milestone, hoping to guide my boys to become thoughtful, respectful, and humble young men. I realize that what might seem like small moments to me can create lasting memories for them. To me, there is no greater role than being their dad!  Keith Hinds – Early Career Recruiting Senior Manager

Being a parent truly changes your life for the better and I cannot imagine anything different now. It is an exciting journey that is constantly changing as my son gets older and approaches 2 years. Each month always seems to get better than the last one and parenthood is truly something you look forward to every day. While it does come with challenges when you’re learning how to parent and juggle everything else in life, the challenges are always 100% worth it. I can’t wait to watch my son continue to grow up and create core memories we will cherish for years to come! Gabe Encinas – Early Careers Senior Recruiter

As we celebrate Father’s Day, we are reminded of the profound impact that fathers and father figures have on our personal and professional lives. At Protiviti, we are proud to support our Parent Network, which plays a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment for working parents. The stories shared by our Protiviti fathers not only inspire us but also reinforce the importance of balance, understanding, and support within our community.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads at Protiviti, and thank you for everything you do!
