Protiviti Celebrates International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month

Protiviti celebrates women everywhere and is an organization that prioritizes gender equity. International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month celebrate our world’s progress and historic movements. The programming theme for International Women’s Day this year is #InspireInclusion, which imagines “A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that’s diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated.” Throughout the month, Protiviti’s Employee Network Groups iGROWW (Growth and Retention of Women in the Workforce) and GET IT (Gender Equity in Technology and IT) will celebrate through events that create connection, inspire inclusion, and challenge us all to better inspire inclusion.

We took a moment to connect with our newly appointed internal global iGROWW lead, Soo Lee, and how she got involved in iGROWW to continue to drive change and continue efforts to grow gender equity.

I have always been passionate about gender equity and creating a forum to empower and support women. I joined the local Dallas iGROWW chapter in 2018 as one of the co-champions to get more involved, propose new ideas, and organize events that could provide an even stronger community and platform for the women in our office. My journey within iGROWW has taken me from a local office co-champion to the West region lead and now on to support as one of the global iGROWW leads.

Both women leaders and male allies have encouraged me throughout my Protiviti journey, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to champion even more innovative and impactful iGROWW initiatives in this new global role.”

Inspire Inclusion: Celebrating Women Everywhere

Protiviti will host a change enthusiast for an enlightening virtual event centered around the theme of International Women’s Day: #InspireInclusion. The event will foster discussion regarding how embracing the power of inclusion can catalyze positive change within companies, teams, and individuals.

Sweat for Women’s Empowerment

iGROWW and GET IT believe in creating pathways for professional success in their local communities. Offices across the globe will participate in physical activity campaigns to raise awareness and funds for Women-focused organizations. Each hour of exercise logged will give funds back to the organization of each office’s choosing or the global partner for two weeks during March.

The Power of Connection

We value connection, which comes in many forms. Over the course of March and in the months beyond, iGROWW and GET IT will partner to create opportunities to grow connections. Additionally, they will kick off the first of two annual mentoring waves to allow employees the opportunity to be matched with a mentor or reverse mentor to help with professional development. Further, regional “Coffee Connects” will allow individuals to get to know each other and potentially offer an alternate pathway for organic mentoring and relationships.

Local iGROWW & GET IT Chapter Events

iGROWW and GET IT have ignited a call to action, encouraging local office chapters to embrace the power of in-person events to observe Women’s History Month. This focus allows members to expand networks, fostering community and celebration tailored to their unique geographical culture. This will create meaningful moments that resonate with the spirit of unity and the support of women everywhere.
