Throughout the summer, Protiviti interns explore what it’s like to Live Something Different. They experience our culture, our business and our values. One way that interns live our culture is through our Intern Week of Service, exploring our iCare initiative. iCare is Protiviti’s strategic initiative focused on delivering on one of our People Promises – Commitment to our Communities. Last week marked our annual Intern Week of Service.
During the Intern Week of Service, every North America office partnered with local organizations to give back to the communities where we live and work. Many of the events during the 2023 Intern Week of Service aligned with Protiviti’s iOnHunger initiative, our global service food program committed to providing meals for those in need. During Liftoff with Protiviti and The Intern Challenge, interns got a sneak peek into our iOnHunger initiative through the Amazing Race for Charity, donating meals to the San Antonio Food Bank. To date, Protiviti’s iOnHunger has delivered over 14 million meals to those in need!
In addition to participating in the volunteer activities, interns and practice members were able to utilize Protiviti’s Dollars for Doers, earning donation dollars to the charity organization they worked with for the activity. Protiviti also matches these donation dollars, multiplying the impact that we have toward these organizations. Let’s take a look at some of the activities that took place last week!
Austin Interns partnered with Keep Austin Beautiful for a Community Clean Up
Kansas City visited Harvesters Community Food Network to sort food for the community
Orlando packed 20,000 meals for US Hunger
Chicago interns along with members of the Chicago iCare committee created cat and dog toys to donate in support of the Anti-Cruelty Society.
Minneapolis partnered with Feed My Starving Children to pack meals for malnourished in 70 countries
Dallas supported CitySquare, an organization providing food and necessities to the neighbors of Dallas without homes
Atlanta packed meals for Rise Against Hunger
Columbus gave back to the Franklin County Dog Shelter by making toys and treats for the animals

Salt Lake City participated in a trail clean up event in coordination with The Forever Project for sustainability at Brighton Ski Resort
These are just a few of the service opportunities that our teams participated in this week, many more events were held to support our commitment to our communities. We appreciate all of the volunteers and opportunities to give back. We’re thrilled that our interns were able to embrace Protiviti’s values and are proud of the work they have done!
