Happy Global Talent Acquisition Day! Today we’re excited to take a moment to say ‘thank you’ to our recruitment team at Protiviti. Recruiting isn’t easy. In fact, it’s quite hard! Recruiting is a skill that has no exact answer. It can’t be solved by an equation or by adding a system, it’s a personalized experience. The best practice that worked last week might not work this week. And it requires your full energy and a smile each and every day. As a recruiter, you are your own best version of the Energizer Bunny.

Today, we’re giving two members of our amazing team the moment in the spotlight they deserve year round. On behalf of the organization, we want our recruitment team members to know that we value you. We recognize your hard work and we think you are amazing!

Meet Sarah.

Sarah Hense Sedona

How many years have you been at Protiviti? “I’ve been with Protiviti for a year and three months. Prior to working at Protiviti, I was working in higher education as a college admission recruiter!”

When you were growing up, what did you want to be? “A fashion designer. I was also considering becoming a teacher, but I think that was mainly because I enjoyed writing on a dry erase board!”

How did you end up in a career in recruiting? “In college I worked as a tour guide in the Admission Office (& I developed the really great skill of walking backwards). I loved being able to share my experience and connect prospective students to their dream school. My career progressed pretty naturally from there. Now, I get to connect prospective candidates to their dream career at Protiviti!”

What is your favorite part of the job? “Getting to personally connect with candidates. I love hearing about their background, their interests and what they want to achieve.”

Best memory at Protiviti? “One of my favorite things is seeing interns or consultants attend the challenge schools (internal training) for on-boarding. I like to ask if it’s what they expected, the answer is almost always that their experience exceeded their expectations. Protiviti does such a great job of bringing our new hires into the organization, making them feel welcome and engaged.

It’s also really rewarding to see campus hires go back to campus to assist with our recruiting efforts. To see them share their excitement for Protiviti with individuals is really motivating!”

If you could have any job in the world other than being a recruiter, what would you be? “A party planner and/or chef.”

What is one of your guilty pleasures? “Lifetime & Hallmark movies- is the plot the same in every movie? Yes. Am I still going to sit there on the edge of my seat and act surprised at the end? Also yes.”

Meet Danielle.

Danielle Thompson

How many years have you been at Protiviti? “4 years next month, wooo hoo!”

When you were growing up, what did you want to be? “A writer.”

How did you end up in a career in recruiting? “I earned my Master’s in Industrial Psychology. I worked in a corporate HR role for five years as a generalist primarily focusing on employee benefits, recruiting, and employee relations.  I wanted to explore more of the talent acquisition side of HR to add to a growing organization.”

What is your favorite part of the job?  “I really enjoy matching candidate’s skills with our open roles and being able to extend an offer to them that they happily accept. I also really love seeing my hires progress and get promoted/recognized once they join our team.”

Best memory at Protiviti? “Dressing up as ‘Awesome Sauce’ in the New York Office Halloween Party (photo below), and winning an iAchieve Award, which is one of the ways Protiviti helps to recognize their employees.”

If you could have any job in the world other than being a recruiter, what would you be? “Lighthouse Keeper.”

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life what would it be? “Macaroni and Meatballs.”
