We’re proud to share that Protiviti, as part of the Robert Half enterprise, has received a perfect score of 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2019 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.

Achieving a perfect score also earns us, along with 571 other U.S. businesses, the distinction of being named a “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality”.

The Corporate Equality Index evaluates companies in five key areas, including non-discrimination policies, employee and domestic partner benefits, support of LGBTQ diversity and inclusion, commitment to LGBTQ equality, and corporate social responsibility. You can read the full report here.

Having inclusive policies, benefits, programs, and activities in place to support LGBTQ+ diversity and inclusion is a priority, and Protiviti’s employee network group ProPride was established to support that goal.

Susan Haseley“This honor is a remarkable accomplishment and celebration of our commitment to diversity and inclusion,” said EVP of Diversity & Inclusion Susan Haseley. “We take pride in our inclusive company culture, and it’s particularly gratifying to see that our LGBTQ initiatives and ProPride Employee Network Group’s efforts contributed to this recognition.”

About ProPride

ProPride began in 2013 to provide a workplace community for LGBTQ employees. The group of over 150 members from 22 cities around the globe encourages participation from both LGBTQ employees and straight allies.

In addition to a LGTBQ mentoring program, local and national chapters of ProPride engage in organized events, activities, and community support with a mission to promote and sustain an inclusive environment where every employee is treated with respect and dignity, free from discrimination and prejudice.

Belton Flournoy“ProPride’s focus on inclusion has such a strong impact on people’s confidence in the workplace. People sometimes forget that work can often times be the only safe space for LGBTQ+ employees where they feel they belong,” he said. Belton shared a personal connection to the news, mentioning that he actively hid his sexuality from coworkers when he relocated from Chicago to London. “This means no one else will have to feel the same fear I did when starting a job in a new office full of strangers.” – ProPride UK Co-Founder, Belton

“We Philip Maziarzknow that a diversity of ideas and experiences are essential to our People Promise of a ‘Global, Collaborative, and Diverse Workforce’ and our continuing efforts to deliver an exceptional experience to our people, our clients, and our communities. Protiviti is stronger because of our inclusive work environment where employees see one another’s uniqueness as assets and strengths. We work hard every day to be an inclusive organization and the HRC Corporate Equality Index helps us know if we are achieving our goals to address the needs of the LGBTQ communities.” – ProPride Co-Executive Champion, Philip

Steven Stachowicz.png“Over my career at Protiviti, it has been personally and professionally gratifying to be part of an organization that values diversity and has helped make this a safe working environment for our people,” he said.  “I have grown in my time here, and I credit my colleagues and leadership with the opportunities to contribute to our firm and our clients while being authentic myself. It has been particularly apparent to me how accepting we are as I welcomed twins into my family this past year and have been able to share in that joy (and challenges!) with others here.” – ProPride Co-Executive Champion, Steven
