“I wish I was a #ProtivitiIntern.”
This is a line I heard often echoing the halls of Protiviti offices during my days as a campus recruiter. Everyone from new hires to Managing Directors wants to be a Protiviti intern (or to be one again!) — and for good reason… our intern program is the BEST! It’s a jam-packed summer full of remarkable experiences, and no one describes it better than the amazing people who go through it. So, when we hear from our former interns about how much their internship meant to them, we shed a few happy tears.
With the 2019 #ProtivitiIntern class starting in less than three months, it’s officially intern season. What better time than now to share some insight from some of our former interns who will join us this upcoming summer?!
This is the story two former interns recently shared with former students. We hope you find it to be enlightening!
Valerie – Intern, Boston Office
“Last summer, I had the opportunity to intern at Protiviti. Throughout the summer, I provided support and assistance with Sarbanes-Oxley Testing on two projects. Besides having the opportunity to work closely with our clients, I also had the chance to travel and enjoy the office activities. At the beginning of the Intern Program, I was able to attend The Intern Challenge in Orlando, Florida for 10 days, getting the chance to learn more about Protiviti and what our internship was going to be like this summer. I was able to meet the other 250+ interns across other Protiviti offices in the nation and the highlight of that experience was winning the ‘Tiv award of ‘Most Likely to Become the next Executive Team Member’! In addition, during one of my projects, I was able to travel to Largo, Florida, where I was able to enjoy the beautiful weather and beach views after a long day of work. Throughout the intern program, our Boston office also had various activities like doing the Duck Tour around Boston, Red Sox Game at Fenway, and friendly cornhole games on Thursday evenings. By being exposed to various solutions the company can offer to clients and working on different projects, Protiviti allowed me to realize there are many areas to explore and grow in professionally while interning here. It was truly amazing to work at one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For!”

Brianna – Intern, New York City Office
“My name is Brianna and I am a Supply Chain and Operations major with minors in Economics and Global Studies. This past summer, I worked at Protiviti based out of the New York office. I had the opportunity to travel to Louisiana to work on an Enterprise Project Management Office Implementation Project.
Outside of work, I got to enjoy a series of fun events throughout my internship including bowling, a guacamole cook-off, an Escape the Room, a Yankees game, and a boat cruise around New York City. Every intern also had the opportunity to participate in the intern day of service, allowing us to experience Protiviti’s commitment to community service. The NY interns were able to partner with Meals on Wheels and deliver meals to those in need. Overall, I had an amazing experience this summer at Protiviti!”

We’re so glad that Valerie and Brianna had such a great experience — we know we sure did! And this summer, we’re continuing to evolve the internship experience with the rollout of Foundations, an innovative program for entry-level hires that helps to develop our interns and consultants through a customized set of experiences aimed at exposing young professionals to multiple solution areas.
