Protiviti has made Fortune magazine’s 2018 list of Best Workplaces for Diversity, compiled by Great Place to Work, which recognizes companies in the U.S. that are working to create diverse, inclusive, and welcoming cultures and workplaces.
Having a diverse and inclusive workforce is a strategic priority, and a range of initiatives have been set up to support that goal, including diversity-focused recruiting programs, global employee network groups, a global employee mobility program, unconscious bias learning, and a network of diversity champions across our global offices. Protiviti was recently named to the 2018 Diversity Best Practices Inclusion Index and named to Working Mother’s ‘100 Best Companies’ list.
“This is a remarkable recognition for Protiviti’s global diversity and inclusion initiatives, and it reinforces our collective efforts to make our company a great place to work for all. I am consistently thrilled to see our people embracing these initiatives and amazed by their commitment to one another. Working together, we can thrive together, in work and in life.”
– Susan Haseley, Protiviti EVP of Diversity & Inclusion
Today’s honor is a celebration of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, and it puts a spotlight on our ongoing journey to make Protiviti a great place to work for all — a place where every individual has the opportunity to succeed in work and life.
We have our diverse workforce to thank for this accolade! The Best Workplaces in Diversity offer the most inclusive experiences, according to the surveyed employees who work at the companies on the list. The results are based on Fortune’s annual survey, which gathers employee feedback from more than 4.4 million U.S employees.
The list considered the survey responses of employees who identified as women, people of color, LGBTQ individuals, Baby Boomers, and people with disabilities. Questions explored a wide range of topics, including employees’ experience of workforce diversity, innovation, company values, and leadership effectiveness.

Hear from our D&I Champions!
“Diversity at work and being able to network with others who share the same background and interests is so important! I joined the Parents’ Network because I love connecting with and supporting other Protiviti working parents. Our Parents’ Network organizes our annual Bring Your Child to Work Day, and it’s a day I truly look forward to all year! As a single parent, I’m so fortunate to work at a company like Protiviti that not only supports but fosters and values diversity!” – Laura, Parents’ Network Champion; Chicago, IL, U.S.A.
“In a diverse workplace, employees learn from co-workers whose work and attitudes vary from their own. As workforce demographics shift and global markets emerge, workplace diversity has become a business necessity, and more companies are showing their commitment to embracing differences and change. Business reputations flourish when companies demonstrate their commitment to diversity.” – Liza, iGROWW Champion (Women’s Network); Brisbane, Australia
“Protiviti has long had an ongoing commitment to our people through our various D&I initiatives. As a senior leader within the organisation, I founded the U.K. arm of our ProPride network. At the last event we hosted, one of my LGBTQ colleagues told me this network helped them feel comfortable coming out in the office. What people sometimes forget is that work might be the first place someone might feel safe. Safer than out in public, safer than in their homes, safer than surrounded by friends. When we bring diversity to work, we bring with it acceptance, and we allow people to develop a sense of belonging.” – Belton, ProPride Champion; London, United Kingdom
“The importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace really boils down to one thing: treating our Protiviti family with kindness and respect. I established the Multicultural ENG to develop a deeper understanding of the nuances of each person’s culture and identity, and to celebrate them in our everyday interactions at work. Protiviti recognizes that diversity and inclusion must be a focal point of our company values and strategy, and its commitment to making improvements and engaging in conversations around this crucial topic truly aligns with our Protiviti 2022 vision of being the most trusted consulting firm, not only to our clients, but to our people.” – Ashley, Multicultural Champion; Charlotte, NC, U.S.A.
