With the help of some of our local clients, Protiviti’s Canberra office contributed to our internal iCare initiative by collecting trash around Lake Burley Griffin in partnership with Clean Up Australia Day on March 5.
The day kicked off when 23 enthusiastic go-getters slipped on their work gloves, grabbed bags and headed out to enjoy the gorgeous weather and camaraderie. It was such a success that the office plans to continue this initiative every year!
Protiviti Associate Director Shane Silva said, “Clean Up Australia Day was a great demonstration of our team’s enthusiasm for the environment in which we live. Not only did we give back to our home, we had a ton of fun, too!”
Clean Up Australia day is the nation’s largest community-based environmental event. In the past 26 years, Australians have devoted more than 31 million hours towards the environment through Clean Up Australia Day and collected over 331 thousand tons of rubbish.
