Over the past few years, the U.S. has placed a large focus on women in business. This is due to the fact that more women are choosing to pursue their career goals while juggling motherhood, friendship and more!
To aid in the success of balancing a professional career and personal life, Protiviti has created the internal initiative iGROWW. iGROWW is a Protiviti professional group promoting the education and advancement of women in the workplace. It provides tools and resources to empower women to be top leaders in our organization. Like many other offices, Protiviti’s Dallas office uses this group to enable a safe place for women in the office to discuss their careers, share advice on how to maintain work-life balance, and build personal relationships with each other through social events.
On March 26th, 11 coworkers and I attended the “Inspiring Women Luncheon” hosted by Mary Kay. We were able to network with many C-level female leaders and several professional Olympic-bound golfers! They unanimously encouraged us to act with passion and make a difference in our field regardless of the subject.
Dallas’s very own Tricia Callahan was one of 6 women recognized by Mary Kay as a young professional who has gone above and beyond. She was recognized for her ability to excel in her career while touching the lives of those around her on a daily basis. We beamed with pride celebrating her achievement!
I am very grateful to be a part of a firm that expressly supports women in the workplace and provides the necessary personnel and events to enable professional development. I am already looking forward to the next iGROWW event with the Dallas interns!
