Over the past few months, Protiviti has set-up an orientation and training hub in Phoenix, Arizona. Since the middle of July we have on-boarded and trained almost 200 new consultants. At training we have placed an emphasis on introducing our employees to our eight core values: proactiviti, productiviti, professionalism, qualiti, creativiti, integriti, objectiviti, and responsibiliti. I would like to take a moment to share with you how we have highlighted our core value of responsibiliti through our Day One evening social event.
Protiviti partnered with the Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS) and TOMS to put on a TOMS teambuilding event. For over twenty-five years, CASS provides shelter and support services to nearly 10,000 of the Phoenix Valley’s homeless each year. In order to execute the event, Protiviti purchased over 100 pairs of TOMS shoes, supporting their mission of One For One. The actual shoes were used during the event and subsequently donated to local Phoenix residents in need.

During the team building event, the consultants were divided into teams of ten. They were then challenged to come up with a team name, brand, and marketing concept, as well as to decorate their shoes. This is when the true consultant comes out of each of our new hires due to their internal competitive drive to win!

A panel of esteemed judges reviews each team’s concept and pitch and ultimately selects the winner. For the event last night, the panel included Protiviti Executive Vice President Carol Beaumier, CASS Representative Brenda, and yours truly!
