Work room in Protiviti Office filled with canned items

For the fifth year in a row, The Atlanta Protiviti office held an office food drive benefiting the Atlanta Community Food Bank, which provides food for the less fortunate in the Atlanta area. New neighbor, Robert Half, was invited to participate in some friendly interoffice competition. The office was organized into two teams, Robert Half vs Protiviti, whose goal it was to collect the most non-perishable food items. The teams earn one point for each food item collected, however, an extra point was awarded for high demand food donations which included: Peanut Butter; Canned Tuna; Canned Beans; Canned Soups, Stews and Pastas; 100% Fruit Juice; Canned Fruits and Vegetables; Macaroni and Cheese Dinners; and Whole Grain, Low Sugar Cereals.

This year’s competition was held October 31 through November 16. A total of 8,114 items were collected from both teams, most of which were high demand items. Protiviti won in a landslide victory by collecting over $4,025.00 to purchase 7,149 items (13,765 points) compared to 965 items (1930 points) collected by Robert Half. The winning team enjoyed watching the losing team sing and dance to “Gangnam Style” prior participating in a combined office Happy Hour. The good sportsmanship of the losing team was very much appreciated! Protiviti has been forewarned for next year – it will be a much different competition.

Even though less items were donated than the previous year (10,593 in 2011), this year’s focus was on collecting larger family size items which were more beneficial to families.

Another successful food drive benefiting the Atlanta community and building camaraderie between Robert Half and Protiviti.
