So what do pigs, cows, goats, chickens, horses, donkeys, cats and dogs have in common? Protiviti Service day!
Last Tuesday our DC Metro office volunteered at Lost Dog & Cat Ranch Rescue Foundation.
Lost Dog and Cat Ranch is a non-profit based in the DC Metro area. They have placed more than 15,000 animals in loving homes since their inception in 2001. They are supported by a set of 300 animal foster homes as well as a few local restaurants based in the DC area called Lost Dog Café and Lost Cat Café.
While at the Ranch, Protiviti employees put their team work skills to good use and accomplished several tasks.
We built the pigs a dirt and toy filled rooting box.
We used our carpentry skills and added on to a goat play ground.
We helped the horses scratch their backs by installing a few scratching posts.
We feed the animals carrots, apples and gatorade! Yes – they drink gatorade!
